EV CHARGING
Destination EV charging is exactly what it says in the name, its charging at a destination, usually somewhere you were going in the course of your day. The benefits of destination EV charging are many. Firstly for the business, they can generate an ongoing passive revenue and and additional facility for their patrons, staff or customers. For EV drivers it is a cheaper way of topping up their charge while they do tasks and activities at venues they would normally attend anyway.
It saves them money as usually destination EV charging is cheaper than superfast chargers at service stations or supermarkets. , It does not take them out of their way to recharge when they are already busy. Where possible EV's should be topped up when not in motion rather allowed than allowed approach empty and then blasted with 50/120/150kw at a supercharger. Charging with a supercharger is not beneficial to the battery.
Destinations which are ideally suited to charging locations include but are not limited to Schools, Golf clubs, Universities, factories Business parks, Hotels, Restaurants, Hospitals, Hospices, Doctor surgeries, Leisure centres, Cricket and Rugby clubs, Football clubs, Community centres, Pubs, Racecourses, Racetracks and many other facilities which have a car park.
